Silvia Parzer

Born in Vienna, she grew up in Lower Austria near Hollabrunn and has lived in Unterretzbach near the town of Retz by the Czech border since 1993.
Silvia Parzer has her own studio and has been active as an artist since 1991.
For her, the painting process is a game in which impressions and fragments come together. Her artistic form of expression is pleasant, yet special and unique. On closer inspection, the balance of the colours in the painting, which the artist deliberately exploits to the full, becomes apparent. Her application of shadows and lights leave spectators in awe of her work.
Recurring favourite themes such as fish, portraits, bouquets of flowers and roses can be found in full series of paintings.

“Why do I do what I do and what would I do if I didn't do it?
I've never really thought about that and I probably won't and don't want to find out.

My life has guided me and I have done what I have to do.”
